Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus release date confirmed
Remedy is making the most of the 'Plus' part.
The much-anticipated Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus mode release date has been confirmed! Better yet, it'll go live in just a few days.
Previously teased as an ambitious 'alternative' mode with new story content and more, Remedy Entertainment has detailed everything there is to know about the mode, known as 'The Final Draft' in a blog post. We've got a lot to look forward to.

The Final Draft features your typical New Game Plus mode goodies such as retaining unlocked weapons, charms and upgrades but also adds in a whole bunch more story content.
A new ending has been confirmed, along with new Manuscript pages and video content.

When is the Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus release date?
The Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus mode release date is Monday 11th December 2023, Remedy Entertainment has confirmed! The update will go live at 6pm in the UK, 10am PT/1pm ET in the US.
After some initial speculation that the release date would land in early 2024, it's nice to see the game getting some New Game Plus mode love before the end of the year.
It's even nicer to see that the New Game Plus mode, otherwise known as The Final Draft, is full of goodies, including a brand-new ending.
Simply download and install the new update when it goes live on 11th December to have at the New Game Plus mode.
What's included in Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus?
The Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus mode includes a brand-new ending, lets you keep your weapons, charms, and other upgrades from your first playthrough, and more. There's a lot to love about The Final Draft update.
Here's everything included in the Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus mode:
- New ending
- Retain all your unlocked weapons, charms and upgrades
- New Nightmare difficulty level
- New Manuscript pages and video content
In an official blog post, Remedy Entertainment explained that "You will find your unlocked weapons in the first available shoebox for the character. This means that you don’t start New Game Plus with the weapons already in your inventory."
It's also worth pointing out that "To access the New Game Plus mode and fully experience “The Final Draft”, a completed playthrough of Alan Wake 2 is required."
