Will there be a Dragon Ball Super season 2? Everything we know
Don't write off Dragon Ball Super's return
The late, great, Akira Toriyama and Toei Animation first brought Dragon Ball Super to fans worldwide in 2015, the much-loved series kept us hooked across a glorious three-year journey, but what comes next?
Although the most recent entry into the Dragon Ball Super series was with the film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, fans have been desperate since the series ended in 2018 to hear whether a season 2 was on the cards, or if Toei Animation is going in a feature adaptation direction from hereon out.
Unexpectedly, it was announced in October 2023 that Toei Animation had decided to head in a new direction with Dragon Ball DAIMA, which will have a brand new original story.
But is that the end of Dragon Ball Super? Perhaps not. As DAIMA appears to be set before the events of Super, a second season of Super will have no problem slipping into the timeline, likely adapting the Manga's Galactic Patrol Prisoner saga and The Moro Arc.
But who is Moro? Well, he's this huge, goat-headed warrior supervillain who challenges the Z warriors for supremacy with his world-destroying powers capable of draining a planet's life source.

After that, we would have the Granolah the Survivor arc to look forward to – Granolah is an especially fascinating character as he is the only survivor of an entire species that the Saiyan Army wiped out long ago. There's definitely going to be some bad blood there.
Here's everything we know about when to expect Dragon Ball Super Season 2 below.
Will there be a Dragon Ball Super season 2?
According to staff, apparently so. A member of Toei Animation Philippines, Florence Jay Dominguito, spoke about the future of Super in an interview for the official Dragon Ball website.
"As a fan, I'm really looking forward to new movies and merchandise. I'm also excited about the new anime that will continue Dragon Ball Super," they admitted.
However, some people have noted that may have been a slight error in translation, like Japanese translator Ken Xyro did on Twitter (now X).
What Dominguito actually said was "I'm also excited to see if there will be a new continuation of Dragon Ball Super' TV anime."
In the meantime, if you want to catch up on previous series and get excited about the upcoming DAIMA series, check out the watch order here.
