Graham Norton confirms he's leaving weekend Virgin Radio show
His final shows are this weekend.
Graham Norton has confirmed that he's leaving his weekend shows on Virgin Radio.
The Irish star has hosted The Graham Norton Radio Show from 9:30am to 12:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays on the station since 2021. He co-hosts alongside Maria McErlane.
Announcing the news of his departure live on the show, Norton said: "The show isn't quite the normal show today because I've a bit of an announcement to make. I'm kind of off.
"I'm leaving weekends here at Virgin Radio. I'll still be popping up on the station from time to time but my regular Saturday and Sundays, I'm stepping away."
He added that this weekend (24th and 25th February) will be his final shows. Angela Scanlon will host for the next few weekends, before an announcement is made about a permanent replacement.

Virgin Radio Content Director Mike Cass said: "Graham Norton has delighted Virgin Radio's weekend listeners for the last three years.
"He steps back from the weekend show with our thanks and with our delight that he remains part of the wider Virgin Radio family. His are big boots to fill, and we'll be announcing the owner of those feet in the weeks to come."
Fans have been left gutted with one writing on X (formerly known as Twitter): "Excuse me what. #GrahamNorton leaving @VirginRadioUK weekend shows. Love listening to his show."
Another said: "Sad to see #GrahamNorton is leaving the mid morning slot on @VirginRadioUK. He'll be missed as a comforting radio listener routine for many across the globe. Good luck with your new schedule, whatever that may look like. Love ya @grahnort."
