Fortnite Fallout event: All skins and what to expect
It ain't all canned peaches and marmalade left on Battle Royale Island, sweetheart.
With the booming success of Amazon’s TV adaptation of the Fallout games, it was inevitable that there would be a crossover event with Fortnite, one of the most consistently updated games around at the moment.
This epic crossover is just another branch of renewed interest in the Fallout games following the show’s success. (Check out the video above to see what's included!)
For example, Fallout 76, a much maligned online game from Bethesda, has seen a huge resurgence in popularity, with it reaching an all-time concurrent player peak of just over 73,000 people on Steam back in April.
There are so many aspects to a Fallout game that would feel right at home in Fortnite, too. Ghouls, power armour, laser weapons and a sprawling wasteland will likely be used in some way in this event.
So, without further delay, let's dig into the Fallout and Fortnite crossover and see exactly what is in store.

When did the Fortnite Fallout event start?
The Fortnite and Fallout crossover event began on Friday 24th May 2024, and it is available to download now.
There are Mad Max-inspired cars and more sand than Bournemouth beach in Fortnite’s latest update, as Chapter 5: Season 3, subtitled "Wrecked", focuses on a huge sandstorm engulfing Battle Royale Island.
The marauding Wasteland Warriors have rocked up via an enormous ship shaped like a shark to cause all sorts of post-apocalyptic chaos too.
As you would expect with any Fortnite update, there are a bunch of new skins, weapons and characters to deal with, and so we have taken a closer look at the Fallout items included in the event.
Fortnite Fallout skins: What's included in the event?
Some Fallout fans may be disappointed, as there is currently only one themed skin coming to the Fortnite update, but it is a belter.
As you may have already seen, the T-60 Power Armour outfit (courtesy of the Brotherhood of Steel, of course) is available to grab in the battle pass.
There is a Hot Red Red variant of it, too, along with the more traditional grey edition. You can see those and all the other new skins in the video below.
Aside from the Fallout ones, there are seven other skins to access that are themed around the wasteland.
On top of that, Fallout’s famous Nuka Cola is also available in the Fortnite collaboration.
Any players picking up a bottle of the delicious pop will be granted a boost in health and, eventually, their shield level too.
When does the Fortnite Fallout event end?
The Fortnite and Fallout event is due to end at 2am ET on 16th August 2024. For us in the UK, that’s 7am.
There is no time like the present to dive into the wasteland for some post-apocalyptic mayhem!
