Yes, the first trailer for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree was uploaded by Bandai Namco in February 2024.

What will Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree be about?

The Shadow of the Erdtree trailer reveals lore and characters that both hearken back to the base game and include plenty of new elements. Please note, we're diving into spoilers for the main game.

The arm of Miquella (brother of Melania) hangs from the cocoon in the arena where you fight Mohg (fans predicted he'd be involved), and plenty of other bosses are briefly showcased. There's also a new villain called Mesmer to look forward to. In a recent interview with IGN, director Hidetaka Miyazaki had plenty to tell us about the upcoming DLC.

"The setting of Shadow of the Erdtree is a brand new land," he said. "It's a brand new map separate from the Lands Between. It is a land that is overshadowed by the particular Shadow of the Erdtree as opposed to the Erdtree in the Lands Between. And it takes place, again, on an entirely separate, physically separate map."

So it's confirmed that we'll be treated to a whole new map! We'd expect the DLC to range between 15 to 20 hours but that's pure speculation. Hopefully, we'll find out more as we get closer to launch.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will be released on 21st June 2024 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
